Sometimes, I have these moments when it hits me: we really have free will. Like, you can just get up and decide to do anything you want. Well, almost anything.
So, one day, I wasn’t feeling my best and thought, “Why not use my free will to shake things up?” That’s how I ended up deciding to go sumo bowling with my friends. Never been, never heard of it—honestly, I didn’t even know it was a thing. But I wanted to do it.
I hopped on Amazon, ordered a few sumo suits, texted my friends, and off we went to the nearest bowling alley. Now, let me preface this by saying: I’m not a big fan of bowling. After about two frames, I’m usually over it. Like, why do I have to keep getting up to roll this ball? It’s just not my thing.
But this night was different. The sumo suits added a whole new level of fun. We weren’t exactly pros, but we didn’t care. We bowled—well, attempted to—for two glorious frames. And let me tell you, those two frames were more fun than any full game of regular bowling I’ve ever played.
We laughed until our cheeks hurt, stumbled around in those ridiculous suits, and made memories that were 100% worth the effort. It was a perfect reminder that sometimes, all you need is a wild idea and a little free will to turn an ordinary night into an unforgettable one.
